A sheltered courtyard area forms between the buildings, bordered on one side by the forest and an artificial pond, and on the other by the woodshed and the access road/parking area.

Electric heating – underfloor heating in the kitchen and bedroom; use is not strictly necessary if you feel you can manage without it (if a fire is lit in the stove, it heats both the kitchen and the bedroom via the flue).

Wood-burning sauna stove with a side-mounted hot water tank (so-called jacket); cold shower water available. Note: No running water in the sauna building during the winter season (November–March).
Next to the sauna building, there is a half-hectare flowing pond with a jetty; the water is dark and about 1.5 meters deep at the end of the jetty.
